24 Hour Crisis Line answered by trained volunteers and staff who offer non-judgmental support and information about options and services available. Support Groups offered on an ongoing basis for those whose lives have been affected by domestic or sexual violence. Please call the office for information about current support groups. Childcare is provided upon request. Court Advocacy is provided by trained volunteers and staff who offer support and assistance in obtaining protective orders and during other court appearances.
Shelter is availabe to fleeing victims who are in need of temporary housing. Transportation to shelter can be provided. 24 Hour Accompaniment at the hospital and police departments for victims seeking support. Educational Programs are provided at no cost to schools, community groups, social service agencies, hospital personnel, law enforcement, and others interested in learning about domestic and sexual violence.
One to One meetings are provided on a walk-in or scheduled basis. Emergency Assistance like food pantry, clothing, tolietries, etc is offered to victims of domestic and sexual violence. All services provdided by New Beginnings are FREE of charge and confidential.
Client's Rights
New Beginnings strives to provide services to everyone whose lives have been affected by domestic and sexual violence and stalking, regardless of gender, age, health status (including HIV-positive), physical, mental or emotional disability, sexual orientation, sexual preference, sexual identity, socio-economic status, race, national origin, immigration status or religious or political affiliation. This infers a thoughtful plan for outreach to diverse communities, i.e. outreach is a service to which all prospective clients have a right.

You have the right to respectful treatment.

You have the right to have your individual information/records kept confidential according to NH RSA 173-C. You can ask New Beginnings staff about your rights under NH RSA 173-C.

You have the right to access your individual records.

You have the right to make your own decisions, within the rules and polices of New Beginnings.

You have the right to know and understand all the rules of New Beginnings by which you must abide.

You have the right to offer suggestions and input concerning New Beginnings.

You have the right to be safe discussing your drug and alcohol use.

You have the right to make a complaint about New Beginnings’ services. The first step is to take the complaint to the New Beginnings staff. If no resolution is reached, you have the right to address your complaint through the grievance procedure of New Beginnings.


Grievance procedure:


All grievances shall be submitted in writing to the executive director within 7 days of the incident. The letter of grievance shall outline relevant issues and any attempts on behalf of the client to resolve the problem. All grievances shall remain confidential.

The executive director shall investigate the grievance.

The executive director shall provide a written response to the grievance within 7 working days.

If the grievance remains unresolved, you have the right to appeal in writing to New Beginnings – A Women’s Crisis Center’s Direct Service Committee. The Direct Service Committee will have 21 days to reviews the grievance.

If the grievance remains unresolved, the Board of Directors will have 30 days to review the grievance.

The Board of Directors shall respond in writing to the grievance within 30 days of its receipt.
